Health Minister in Sex DVD
Malaysians was shocked by a breaking news reporting that a prominent politician in Johor was caught performing sexual acts on CCTV. This is the real big news for Malaysians in the first day of 2008. I really can not accept this when I know the man in the sex DVD is our Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.
Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has admitted that he is the politician shown in the sex DVD that is being circulated in Johor. He said the young girl seen in the DVD was a personal friend.
Dr Chua, the Labis MP and MCA vice-president, has apologised to MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and to his family over the matter.
Mr. Chua, who is 60 and married, said he did not make the DVDs, which appeared to be filmed by cameras placed in a hotel room. The police opened an investigation into who made and circulated them.
Asked about his political future, Dr Chua said: “I leave it to my party members, leaders and the Malaysian public.” On who was behind the video clip, Dr Chua said: “Who did it and why is obvious but it is not important now.”
The question now is: Do you think he should resign his position as a Health Minister? Some people feel that this is his own personal/private issue, and nothing to do with him being a politician. But a lot of Malaysians can not accept this, and urge Datuk to step down. What would you think?
