Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival 2007
Putrajaya Floria 2007, also known as the Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival will be launched on the 25th of August at the Putrajaya Lake club in Precinct 8. It’s become an annual affair and included in the tourism calendar, according to Federal Territories Minister Zulhasnan Rafique.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Badawi will launch the event which is themed as the Rainbow Serenade or Senandung Pelangi officially. or Senandung Pelangi will be eflected in the splash of colours enveloping the entire festive setting.


The event will be run from 25 Aug to 2 Sept at the Lakefront area in Putrajaya. It is going to be a nine-day event in conjuction with 50th independence celebrations, the 44th International Federation of Landscape Architects World Congress and Visit Malaysia Year.
There will also be a research and development centre for flowers of the Equator that will be set up in Putrajaya. The involvement of Mardi will further reinforce Putrajaya Corporation’s vision to promote Putrajaya as a floral city.
More than 200,000 participants and visitors are expected. They include garden enthusiasts, floral designers, gardening retailers, home owners, landscape designers, government departments, NGOs, students as well as members of the public.
