Tragic Bus Crash At North South Expressway
One of the country’s worst road accidents, which occurred in the wee hours early Monday morning on the North-South Expressway near Taiping, was a disaster waiting to happen.
20 bus passengers died and 10 others injured when the express bus they were travelling hit a guard rail before crashing into a boulder and landing on its side in a gully. The bus was believed to be from Malacca heading to Alor Star.

The driver had 13 traffic summonses, some still outstanding and two warrants of arrest against him while the 20-year-old bus, which also had 19 summonses, did not even have the permit to ply the route.
The 20 passengers of the bus were killed along with the 37- year-old driver and 9 others including a three-year old boy are in hospital, some in critical condition.

yes, really scared. If got choice, I rather driving or go back by train. very sad with the news.
