Speed Traps in Elite Highway
For who are using ELITE high way everyday for work, please take notes. There are latest speed trap at ELITE high way installed last few weeks on 17 July 2007. You may ask, where is it?
See the photo taken below, see you can recognize this place, but I am sure if you go to work everyday through this route, you are definitely can recognize it.
Yes, this is the ELITE highway where you drive from KLIA or Puchong to Batu 3, Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh.

So, if you don’t want to receive summon from the traffic police, then slow down your speed below 90KM/h next time you are on the highway. Good Luck!

Yeah! There is a similar structure in the Kulim BKE highway.
I was caught twice in one week. I now drive around 90kph when I reached the underpass of this building cum a restaurant. Restaurant is now closed .

Those are not speed trap guns. They are just surveillance cameras installed by the highway authorities to monitor the traffic conditions.
The police will mount the speed trap guns on a tripod and probably hiding inside the building peeping out behind those dark windows.

They dont fix the camera in a permanent place except for those on traffic junctions . I think many of those cameras on traffic junctions are not well maintained and broken down.
Most speed traps in Malaysia are under the flyovers with the policeman sitting next to a speed gun mounted on a tripod stand.
Or they could build a temporary shelter for them or a tower besides the highway. Some may just used the big pasar malam umbrellas.
When you see some cars flashing their headlights, you know there is a speed trap ahead. The speed trap is always at the same spot and seldom change.
I cannot be absolutely certain. I am no expert..keke

Haha….I got this information from the forwarded email from my friend. But anyway, to avoid kena saman, just slow down at that area lor..haha.
