Taufik Hidayat overcomes Lee Chong Wei
Sad. Lee Chong Wei lost to Taufik Hidayat again! The defending champion from Malaysia was beaten by Indonesia’s Taufik Hidayat in the men’s singles quarter-finals at the Yonex Sunrise Badminton Asia Championships yesterday. We know it was not an easy game for Lee Chong Wei to fight the reigning Olympic and Asian Games champion… but I think Chong Wei just lost too tamely!
Taufik ran out an easy 21-17, 21-17 win in 40 minutes at the Johor Bahru City Council Indoor Stadium. For Lee Chong Wei, it was is seventh defeat against his good friend Taufik Hadiyat. Taufik will meet Anup Sridhar of India in the semifinals which I feel it may be a easy game for him too.

In the other hand, Malaysia’s Yeoh Kay Bin stole the limelight from defending champion and team-mate Lee Chong Wei when he overcame the Hong Kong’s Chan Yan Kit with 13-21, 21-19, 21-14 in 47 minutes to reach the men’s singles semi-finals.
So, in the semi finals, second seeded Chen Hong from China will face Yeoh Kay Bin, and Taufik will meet Anup Sridhar. This is a big achievement for Yeoh Kay Bin, hope he can move further in his career.
On the other hand, there’s great news in the women singles player department. Wong Mew Choo defeated Japan’s Mizuki Fujii 21-19, 21-12 to reach the women’s singles semi-final and her opponent is second seeded Lu Lan of the mighty China! Good luck to Mew Choo!
Lee wan Wah-Choong Tan Fook, Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and Abdul Latif Mohd. Zakry-Mohd. Tazari Mohd have all booked their places in the semi-finals.
Lee Wan Wah-Choong Tan Fook will take on their teammates Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif-Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari, while Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong will meet Tsai Chia Hsin-Hu Chung Hsien in the semifinals. The Malaysia vs Malaysian game should turn out to be an exciting one. Which pair do you think will win?
Latest result of the Asian Badminton Championships 2007 is available here.

One person’s fate to earn how much money in his life is destined by his previous life good deed! Chong Wei should do some donation like replicate religion VCD or free fish in order to gather more merits in his life! This is true bcoz from my observation of ABC game-battle between Chen Hong and Taufik, Chen Hong skill especially smashing is better than taufik! But he lost at last! Chen Hong made a lot of mistakes and made him fail! These are al luck things! According to a very famous book in China call Liao Fan Four Lessons, One person earnings and carreer acheivement is destined but it could be changed by doing good things like help people, donate money to orphanage house. Mr Liao Fan, supposed to be very poor and pity on his whole life, he was destined no son and have limited carreer achivement, he managed to change it thoroughly later on by doing all those good deeds! The best thing to do is free animal and distribute Buddhism or other religion’s educational VCD bcoz if u free animal, the animals will feel so grateful of u! U will gather good karma, While distribute educational VCD is good also bcoz those people who receive the VCD will enlighthened by the knowledge and turn from a bad man to become a good man!
Chong Wei or even Koo & Tan would not go further if thier merits not enough! One badminton player’s success need skill(need good coach)+stamina(need Chinese medication to keep thier body’s Ying Yang stable)+merits(luck-need to gather more merits)! Don’t u agreed!?

Nicky,
From the men’s single final, yes, I feel Chen Hong really got better skill compare Taufik, but he lost at last. I feel in any game, luck is very important too. But strong “fighting spirit” is also important.
You always promote for the chinese medication. Are you studying about it?
