Do you own a super high tech handphone but do not know how to use the goodies that the phone has to offer? Worry not, today I am going to show you how you can activate WAP, MMS and even MobileTV on your handphone, provided your phone supports them.

Anyway, I can only help you if you are on the DIGI network, as I am a DIGI user myself and is not subscribed to any other networks. The easiest way to active WAP and etc on your handphone is by using the Internet… yes, on the DIGI’s website.

First, by using your favorite browser, browse to the DIGI web site, and follow the following few simple steps to complete the setup.

Browse to Digi web site (www.digi.com.my). At the sidebar, under the “I’m Looking For”, select “Messaging, Broadband and Wap in my phone”.

At the sidebar again, select WAP or GPRS.

After that, select “Configure Your Phone” which is located under the WAP menu.

After you have selected the “Configure Your Phone” option, the Configuration screen will be displayed on the main screen. At the Go to Page dropdown, select “Via Web” (If you are new user, select Automatic Configuration). Enter your phone number, and press “Continue” ignoring the authentication code. After a short while (in my case this took less than 20 seconds), your phone will receive a SMS from DIGI which contains the authentication code.

Enter the authentication code you have received in the authentication code box, and click on “Continue”.

If you have registered your phone with DIGI, they should have your phone model in their record. Here, you can choose another model if you have changed your phone. Click on “Choose another phone” to do that.

On this screen, you can select the service or services for your phone. There are 4 services available and you will need to select one of them. After that, simply click on “Click Here”.

Last but not least, click on the “Send” button to submit your request to DIGI. After a few moments, you should get a setting message from DIGI which contains all the settings necessary to active your phone to use WAP, MMS and MobileTV. Save the message and viola you are done! All the hard work is completed.
